A Note About Our Black Sunhats
Because there is no such thing as naturally black palm, each of our Black Perfect Palm Sunhats is hand-painted with care. This artisanal process means your hat is made to order, and our next batch will begin shipping on July 23.

To help preserve your hat’s rich color, this release will include a complimentary touch-up paint pen—perfect for refreshing any small chips that may occur with wear over time.

Our perfect wide brim sunhat is sourced and hand-woven by artisans in Guatemala. Comes in both tan and black and is finished with a chic and monochromatic genuine leather cord and horse hair braid for a subtle equestrian nod. Elastic band on the inside of the hat for comfort and size versatility. 

Dimensions: One size fits most. Circumference range between 48-60cm.

General Hat Dimensions: Approx. 16.5" x 17" x 4.5"; Crown 4" tall, 4" brim back and front, 4.75" brim sides

Notes and Care: Our hats are hand-crafted pieces of art- from the weaving of the palm leaves to the braiding of the horse hair, each sunhat will slightly vary in shape and weave, too. The color of the palm changes subtly with sunlight and over time. While both styles are made of Guatemalan palm leaves, palm does not naturally grow black :) so the black hats have been dyed and sealed for this ultra-chic finish. Like any well-loved equestrian piece, your black sunhat may scuff or chip as natural signs of use. In this case, simply touch up with a black epoxy spray or paint pen but we think it also looks gorgeous with the added character.
